Haiku is another very special doe. Whenever I am out in the barn, she always catches my eye, she is so striking. She is so smooth and elegant. Her mammary system is high and wide with exceptional attachment.

I love this doe! She is the energizer bunny...Not only is she a show doe, that can do it all, but she can replicate herself! See her milking daughters in the herd...Katana, o_Nji and Prose; and keep your eyes out for the up and coming ones Renga and Renku!

As an 8 year old Haiku is amazing! She blew me away at Nationals this year! She remains so elegant and graceful with a presence that just screams, "LOOK AT ME!" Her udder remains high and wide in the rear, and smooth and tight in the fore, to say she is aging gracefully is an understatement. Needless to say she remains a favorite in the barn...And we look forward to many more years of having her with us!

I thought 2023 was Katana's year, but she surpassed herself this year! She looked incredible at the 2024 National Show, so much so that she took my breath away. She exudes dairy strength, the flatness of her bone is tremendous, she is long, deep and level with a beautiful mammary to match. She also has a great temperament...what's not to love about this doe?

oo-Long had a difficult kidding this year, and never really bounced back. As a result, she gained some weight and has basically taken the year off, therefore, did not go to Nationals. But she did show us that she's still got IT! She went to the Washington State Fair and was 2nd to her herd mate, Katana. She remains beautiful and an important part of our herd.

Mischief is one of those does that you just have to be patient with...as a yearling and two-year-old she was gangly, narrow and 2-dimensional. As a 3-year-old, she was a little better, but then as a 4-year-old she blossomed as I knew she would! Her daughter, Playful is the exact same...I just have to remind myself, Patience is the name of the game when dealing with this matriarchal line. The width and length of this doe's rump is phenomena. AND she has an outstanding mammary

I love the general appearance of this doe. She stands out and draws the eye. She is deep and very wide from the muzzle all the way to the rump. Unfortunately, she remains significantly uneven and will probably never see a show ring. However, due to her beautiful general appearance, length and strength of bone, she remains an important part of our breeding program.

 Prose is everything I had hoped she would be when I bred her dam to Lucky*Star's HD Lugosi. She is DEEP with excellent bone and dairy strength. Her mammary is high and wide, and she milks well. She has consistently shown at the top of her classes. She travels well, and doesn't let much faze her. We look forward to having the pleasure of showing and milking her in the future.

Playful is very immature and will take time to come into herself, like her dam Mischief. She is a "next year, next year" kind of doe. Her mammary is outstanding, nothing immature about it! She went to Nationals and made the cut but has lots of growing to do.

Prada is a FF and shortly after freshening became very ill...so ill I thought I was going to lose her. It has taken her some time to bounce back, but she is still working on it. She is very dairy with a lovely mammary. Due to her health she was not shown in the spring and summer shows, but we look forward to showing her next year, giving her the opportunity to grow big and strong like her sisters! She is one of many Ceylon daughters that we are thrilled to still have in the herd.

What's that saying? A tall drink of water??? That describes Rivkah to a "T." She is tall, long and dairy...as a result somewhat gangly, needing to grow into herself. She's got a personality though that's going to take her places...oh my gosh, as a result we better get out of her way, or she's going to run us down! I love this doe, and she's going to be one to watch as she matures.

No matter how long we do this we still make rookie mistakes...needless to say due to a stupid mistake on my part Renku was not able to be appraised. She is a lovely doe of good size for a yearling, and lovely mammary system. She freshened uneven, then at about 5 months fresh developed mastitis. We hit it hard, and had it cleared up quickly and she is slowly starting to produce milk in that side testing with a low SCC. We are excited to see her as a 2nd freshener.
