Noelle is a very pretty correct doe, but one who could be taller. However, it hasn’t hurt her ability to produce animals better than she is; she has produced many lovely daughters, including GCH Lucky Star's Natural Raquel retained by Lucky Star, Lucky Star's TR Su-ellen owned by Merrihill Farm and Lucky Star's TR Toile owned by Quixote Lamanchas. And then I have two lovely daughters in my own in the herd, Vella and Wassail. She is a lovely addition to the herd.

She is strong in dairy character by having the correct angle to the rear rib and she has wonderful pliable skin. She also has a personality that you can't ignore! Ms. Emma received two Grand Champions as a yearling milker in 2008; in 2009 she went Grand Champion in the very competitive REDGA show in May, receiving her Grand Champion designation. She demands your attention in the show ring and we hope that she continues to hold her own in 2009.

FIRST PLACE UDDER at 2005 National show!

Tease was the 2nd place yearling with first udder at the 2005 National Show. As a Prankster daughter, she has some big shoes to fill. She is a pretty doe and has shown well. However, she should have been kept as a dry yearling. Freshening as a yearling rput a lot of stress on her rear feet, as a result, they rolled slightly. In day to day life she does fine, but when stressed as in showing you can definitely see the issues. At the 2006 Nationals in a highly competitive class of over sixty animals Tease was 19th 2 year old..

Warrant freshened last year (2008) as a first freshening two year old, unfortunately she freshened with mastitis.
This year, she is looking better, but I didn't get it all.
I got some homeopathic stuff and now she has the lowest SCC in the herd, I am hopeful for next year!
As a dry yearling she placed 3rd SR yearling at the 2007 ADGA National show.
She received her dry leg as a kid, and then went on to be Best Junior Doe in Show.
She's got the style and the structure... hopefully we can even the udder out and we'll have the whole package!
The one good side shows attachments every which way... with a lovely arch with excellent height.
Her high test this year was 8.9#'s from basically half an udder.
We have retained her daughter, Zabara out of Tach Lach.

Tuscan inherited her dam's beautiful mammary system, it is lovely! It is high and wide in the rear, with exceptional extension to the fore; it's that perfect 1/3 rear - 1/3 behind the leg and 1/3 fore. She herself is not a beautiful doe, in that she remains gawky and awkward... hasn't quite grown into herself yet. But we'll wait... she's not leaving the farm! At the 2006 Nationals, she was 6th place 2 year old and a member of the 1st place Lamancha Dairy Herd!

As the appraiser stated "There is nothing wrong with this doe." She does excel in mammary and general appearance making her one of the most balanced does in the herd. Fellow Lamancha breeders often comment on this doe, which is really her highest compliment. She was 7th as a 2 yr old and 3 Yr old at the ADGA National Show.

Nokia is a beautiful doe and one of my favorites. However, she has the unfortunate habit of kidding usually late in the season and as a result, I’m unable to get her to very many shows. Well, last fall I was able to finagle her into coming into heat earlier, so she freshened in March, though with only a single kid. But I was able to get her to a few summer club shows and she finished with ease! AND... on to Nationals, where she was 9th place 5-6 year old!

Nolina is a long tall doe with good feet and legs and a very high wide rear udder. At the 2005 National show she was 6th pl 5-6 year old, and in 2003 she was 12 th 3 year old. She has a number of BOB's and Best Udder in show awards. Though not a heavy milker, her milk is high in butterfat ranging from 4.5% to 4.8%.

Finale is 11 years old this year, though she did not breed this year, she remains a force in the herd. In 1999, she was the 1st place 5 year old at the Sacramento national show, and went on to be the 1999 reserve national Champion. We have one duahgter in the herd, Sonata, sho is quite lovely but immature. Weare hoping to add a few more in the coming years <smile>. her son, Troubadour, is making his mark in the east. Finale will be bred to Vililante, looking to improve size and production.

Whimsy is one of the tallest and longest does in the herd. I really like the style of this doe, as she is exceptionally long boned throughout. Her udder is high and wide in the rear, with a slight pocket to the fore. She stands on good feet with nice straight front legs. Whimsy didn't freshen 2003 and there is some question she will freshen 2004, she is listed here solely as reference since we do have her lovely 3 year old daughter in the herd, Prankster.
